Overview
This is a full-time, on-site role located in West Lafayette, IN. The News Director will oversee the daily operations of the newsroom, including planning, managing, and executing news content across various platforms. Responsibilities include leading editorial meetings, supervising news coverage, collaborating with the production team, and ensuring high journalistic standards. The role requires strong leadership skills to guide and develop a team of reporters, producers, and other editorial staff members.
Qualifications- Strong background in Broadcasting, including experience in producing and managing media content
- Proven expertise in Writing and Broadcast Journalism
- Relevant experience in Radio broadcasting and Broadcast Television
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in newsroom technology and tools
- Excellent communication and decision-making abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field is preferred
- Prior experience in a leadership role within news media is highly desirable
