Superintendent - Commercial Construction

Location: Project-based (current project onsite; future travel required)
Project: $90M+ Ground-Up Dormitory (expanded scope)
Company Backlog: $500M+

About the Company

We are a nationally recognized commercial general contractor with a backlog exceeding $500M and a strong pipeline of large-scale projects across multiple markets. The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead a $90M+ ground-up dormitory project that has expanded in scope and complexity. Upon completion, this role will transition to other major projects within our portfolio, with travel opportunities for candidates interested in working across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all field operations on large-scale commercial projects from mobilization through closeout
  • Manage site safety programs, quality control, and schedule adherence
  • Coordinate subcontractors, inspectors, and project teams to maintain productivity and accountability
  • Drive project schedules and proactively resolve field challenges
  • Mentor and develop assistant superintendents and field staff
  • Maintain strong communication with project management and ownership teams
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent on large commercial construction projects
  • Proven success leading $50M+ ground-up projects (higher education, dorms, multifamily, healthcare, or similar preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling, logistics, and complex phasing
  • Ability and willingness to travel to future projects after current assignment
  • OSHA certification preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
