Electrician - Commercial Maintenance

Overview

Electrician – West Kilbride. We are currently seeking an Electrician for a commercial/industrial maintenance contract based in West Kilbride. The role involves undertaking electrical works within an industrial site in an efficient and safe manner, with repairs undertaken as appropriate. You will ensure that all planned maintenance is carried out on schedule and that Health & Safety policies are adhered to.

The position is 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, with overtime often available over shutdown periods on Fridays and weekends at an enhanced rate. 4 Day Week (37 hour p/w contract). ASAP Start. Salary: £22ph PAYE / £26ph CIS.

• Ensure that all equipment and services are maintained and operated in a safe condition to comply with Health & Safety.
• Monitor regular inspection procedures (preventative maintenance programme) of equipment.
• Record and keep logs of inspection reports and remedial work.
• Maintain a working knowledge of statutory regulations and safety procedures.
• Undertake electrical repairs and installations as appropriate.
• Undertake electrical inspection and testing as planned.
• Undertake electrical project/installation work as appropriate.
• Understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time.
• Understand and comply with policies and procedures.

• Approved Electrician with CSCS/ECS Gold card
• 18th Edition
• Testing & Inspection 2391/2395/6 (desirable)
• Must hold a full UK driving licence
• Able to work at height
• Good understanding of current Health & Safety legislation
• Experience with in Commercial/Industrial Maintenance
• Able to pass Basic DBS/Disclosure check
