Overview
Do you want a role where no two days are the same and where your technical skills help deliver safer, better homes? This opportunity is with our Asset Management team as an Assistant Maintenance Surveyor, supporting meaningful change and our mission of Safe Homes. Transforming Lives.
Responsibilities- Carry out property inspections and condition surveys
- Support planned maintenance, repairs and capital investment projects
- Manage the Multi Skilled Operative (MSO) in your region
- Ensure homes meet building safety and regulatory standards
- Deliver pre- and post-inspections of voids
- Liaise with contractors to ensure high-quality delivery
- Contribute to asset performance reviews and technical reporting
- Work collaboratively with housing, repairs and compliance colleagues
- Support sustainability and energy efficiency improvements
- Engage with vulnerable residents and our partners across supported housing
This is a hands-on role where visibility on sites and services is essential.
About The CandidateYou’ll bring:
- A degree or HNC/HND in Building Surveying, Construction or similar
- Experience in property surveying or asset data collection
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interpret technical detail clearly
- Understanding of building regulations, housing standards and health & safety
- Willingness to travel and be present on sites regularly
