General FunctionThe Team Lead creates exceptional value for customers and patients by delivering outstanding service, ensuring delight, and managing key optical and lab processes to achieve store success.
Major Duties and Responsibilities While working in Retail- Ensure the Lens Crafters team provides unsurpassed customer service.
- Proactive and solution‑driven, accurate execution and product knowledge.
- Assist customers with selections, provide recommendations, and assist sales associates.
- Serve as a responsible alternate store key holder.
- Custom‑fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
- Work with associates to strengthen their knowledge, skill, and certification for foundational product and store processes related to lens and lab technology.
- Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements.
- Create a safe working environment for all and demonstrate safe work practices.
- Responsibly operate, clean, and maintain lab tools and systems.
- HS diploma/GED.
- Strong optical and retail experience.
- Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise.
- Strong communicator & listener.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong basic math skills.
- Sales skills.
- Problem‑solving ability.
- Familiarity with cash register, computers, and calculators.
- Leadership and training experience.
- Edging and mounting experience.
- Basic optics knowledge and optical measurement experience.
- State licensure (if applicable) and/or ABO certification in non‑licensed states.
- Lens Crafters Final Eyewear Inspector Certification.
- Lens Crafters Quality, Fitting & Adjusting Program.
- Optical machinery/instruments experience.
- Customer service experience.
- Accu Fit Digital Measurement System certification.
- Knowledge of current store merchandise and lens options.
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
