Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery assignment, requiring a UT or compact RN license and strong experience in high-volume birth settings.
Responsibilities- Acute care hospital setting within the Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Recovery unit
- Care for laboring, postpartum, and recovering mothers and newborns
- Night shift, working 12-hour shifts from with every other weekend required
- Uses Epic EMR system
- Transition care responsibilities for newborns
- High delivery volume environment
- Nurses provide comprehensive care including labor, delivery, postpartum, recovery, and neonatal transition
- Mentoring and support available for new graduates on night shifts
- Orientation includes 12 hours at the start of the assignment
- Applicants may not have been employed by any Common Spirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the last year
- Floating may be required within the designated float zone if applicable
- Compliance with 60-mile radius policy for UT facilities for travel eligibility
- Active UT or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
- Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
- Experience in high-volume birth facilities preferred
- Ability to provide references from a supervisor within the last 12 months and a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
- Copy of driver's license required
