Position OverviewThe Wiring Technician I plays a hands‑on role in assembling and wiring electrical control panels in a fast‑paced shop environment. This position is ideal for individuals with 2–3 years of mechanical or electrical experience who are ready to deepen their technical skills and grow within a supportive team. Working from schematics, bills of materials, and technical instructions, the technician will assemble, wire, validate, and test control panels while maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and quality.
Under the guidance of the Project Manager, the Wiring Technician I will learn industry standards, develop proficiency with tools and wiring practices, and contribute to the overall efficiency and reliability of panel production.
- Assemble and wire control panels per supplied schematics (includes marking redlines and making corrections)
- Must be able to read schematics and technical instructions
- Reviewing and following the Bill of Materials and parts to be wired
- Use of basic hand tools, wire strippers, crimpers, etc.
- Work under the supervision of the Shop Leader or Manager
- Must be detail‑oriented and trustworthy
- Learn/understand wire sizing charts and load charts for proper size selection
- Learn/understand various product specifications and functionality
- Verification and validation of the back panel layout
- Completion of wiring “buy‑off” sheet as part of quality assurance.
- Perform power‑up checks and test work before completion
- Learn UL and CSA standards and put them to use
- Keep the work area clean
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Warehouse, factory, or shop experience required
- Two years of experience in a mechanical or electrical environment required
- Ability to read electrical drawings, safe use of power tools, understanding of UL standards, CSA standards, and NFPA 70 and 79, not required, but preferred
- The majority of working hours will be spent in the construction and assembly of Electrical Control Panels.
- Standard 40‑hour work week (Overtime is occasionally required)
- Some areas of the shop require protective eyewear or clothing, as appropriate for a shop environment

- Starting Pay: $18–$26/hour (based on experience)
- Performance Raises:
After 6 months and a performance review, eligible for a $0.25 raise every quarter - Career Growth:
Pay cap increases as you complete additional training and certifications

West Jordan, UT
Schedule:
Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm, (In‑office)
