Job Summary

Supports Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) and leadership to successfully implement local initiatives and execute regional and corporate programs. Helps create an environment that attracts, develops, retains, and engages talent throughout the Operating Company (OpCo) to deliver business goals.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with the HRBP to execute core HR processes (performance management, talent management, total rewards, compensation, training and development, and transitional return to work).
  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders and associates regarding HR policy and procedure.
  • Collaborate with leaders and COEs to support recruitment and staffing plans.
  • Work with the HRBP to drive an inclusive and diverse culture.
  • Develop, implement, and administer programs to enhance associate engagement and satisfaction (e.g., Sysco Speaks action planning).
  • Handle employee and labor relations (investigations, conflict resolution).
  • Review, interpret, administer, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Ensure the initial report is entered into Risx Facs for Workers’ Compensation (WC) and Liability and act as liaison between Gallagher Bassett (GB) and associates.
  • Assist in determining training needs and developing programs to improve performance and professional development.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree with major or emphasis in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field required for external candidates and preferred for internal candidates.
Experience
  • 5 years of experience in Human Resources management or equivalent, with 3 years in a supervisory position preferred, and/or an equivalent combination of related training, education, and Sysco experience.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
  • Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) Professional Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred.
  • Experience with Systems Applications and Products (e.g., SAP, Workday).

Physical Demands
  • Able to sit, stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone.
  • Frequent sitting and reaching with hands and arms.
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds.
Working Conditions
  • Limited travel to Sysco facilities or operating companies.
  • Use of office equipment such as desktop or notebook computers, copiers, printers, scanners, telephones, and calculators.
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment.
  • Work in various indoor and outdoor climates and driving conditions.
