We are seeking a Process Engineer to play a critical, hands‑on role in supporting and advancing our existing business. This individual will develop and optimize manufacturing processes, tooling, and concepts, while identifying and driving cost‑saving initiatives.
The role includes providing operator training and delivering ongoing technical support to manufacturing. This is a highly engaged, floor‑focused position that requires active involvement in day‑to‑day cleanroom operations, leading technical projects from concept to execution, and owning continuous, practical improvements to processes and equipment.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency, production yields, product quality, and consistency through equipment and product design modifications and fabrication.
- Complete projects, report status, and document lessons learned efficiently using project management tools to establish timelines, build action item lists, assign responsibility, set completion dates, and achieve milestones.
- Responsible for all aspects of process validation, including IQ, OQ, and PQ for all equipment, tooling, and processes.
- Assist with equipment design and finalize manufacturing methods for producing medical devices and components.
- Analyze and document test results for development and pilot production runs.
- Collaborate with new product introduction teams to ensure seamless implementation of new process flows and assist with transfer activities.
- Develop or improve processes, sampling activities, tooling, and manufacturing concepts to meet customer expectations on cost, quality, and delivery.
- Provide technical assistance and engineering support to the manufacturing floor to ensure the production of quality products; work with other support departments to maintain on‑time delivery goals.
- Lead process improvement and waste elimination efforts through the application of lean principles and active participation in continuous improvement events.
- Work with the Quality Control team to generate, update, and implement all project‑related documentation, including control plans, work instructions, manufacturing procedures, sample requests, process guides, and troubleshooting guides.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- At least 2 years of engineering experience within medical device manufacturing.
- At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Minitab (or other statistical analysis software).
