Job SummaryFinger paint, sing, dance, get paid to play with play dough. Join our energetic team to make a difference in the world and have fun by providing children with excellent child care and appropriate guided learning experiences. In addition to complying with child‑care licensing rules, applicants will write creative lesson plans, work with children on fun and simple goals, maintain child portfolios and progress documentation, supervise classrooms while singing and playing, attend engaging monthly meetings, and take education classes that correlate with accreditation standards.

Skills and Abilities
Providers are responsible for the direct supervision of children in their care and for the paperwork associated with progressing children on their individual goals.
- Ability to work with a wide variety of people and communicate with parents daily.
- Keeping a clean classroom and serving food is necessary.
- Ability to learn new skills.
- Ability to maintain a positive demeanor during times of high level stress.
- Applicant must be able to work with small children in small and large group settings, relate and communicate with others, plan based on observation, use technology to document work, be professional, be dependable, comply with the directions of the Director/Assistant Director, work well with a Lead Teacher, take initiative, resolve conflicts professionally, exhibit social maturity, physical endurance, and emotional stability required to take charge of a group of young children.
- Ability to lift boxes, children, and moving furniture up to 40 lbs. is required.
- Regular exposure to communicable illnesses and bodily fluids will occur.
- Must read and write in English.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
- Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Must read and write in English.
- Must be able to maintain active supervision of children as defined by the Bureau.
- Must pass a background check from the Bureau of Child Care Licensing, a basic physical, and a TB screening.
- Must be able to move, bend, and work on level with children.
- Must be dependable.
- Must be professional.
- Experience working with large groups of young children.
- Early Childhood Education coursework.
