Overview
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
All employees are expected to maintain a permanent residence within the State of Utah as a condition of employment. New employees must provide a valid Utah residential address within 30 days of their start date.
Provide children birth to twelve (12) years of age with excellent child care and appropriate guided play-based learning experiences. Work with other team members, and under the direction of the Assistant Director, provide comprehensive care while incorporating curriculum into planned play. In addition to complying with the child care licensing rules, applicants must be able to write weekly lesson plans, work with children on goals, maintain both child portfolios and progress documentation.
Under the direction of the Assistant Director, ensure children are making progress toward school readiness by performing formal observations, writing developmentally appropriate lesson plans, and scaffolding that learning to ensure milestones are met. Applicant will be able to manage the routine of the children’s needs and standards of Accreditation. With the support of the Assistant Director, work in the classroom directly supervising the children while following the curriculum, accreditation standards, licensing regulations, writing lesson plans, performing observations, planning, and implementing Parent Teacher Conferences, and paperwork associated with teaching young children.
Must be able to manage a classroom successfully, conduct parent teacher meetings and work closely with the families to support children’s learning. Applicant must be able to communicate with parents daily. Each teacher is expected to monitor the classroom, attend monthly trainings and classes that correlate with accreditation and licensing standards. Teachers are responsible for paperwork associated with progressing children on individual goals.

Teacher must mentor other staff by modeling and explaining techniques that are developmentally appropriate and align with the accreditation and state standards. They will need to be the Lead of their classroom and complete assigned paperwork associated with this.

- Qualified applicants will need to understand the importance of early childhood learning, child development, appropriate milestones, health and safety regulations of Bureau of Child Care Licensing, and basic managerial functions.
