Overview
Great opportunity for those interested in horticulture, landscaping, and environmental science.
Responsibilities- Assisting the Senior Horticulturist in maintaining the plant collection and database (descriptions, inventory, tags, photos).
- Providing educational program development for youth and adults: tours, curriculum, etc.
- Supporting the Digital Content Coordinator in creating educational content for social media.
- Assisting the Outreach Coordinator with educational programming for garden events.
Internship:
The job can be used as an internship based upon college/university approval.
- Two years of college-level classes in horticulture, environmental science, education, or an equivalent degree preferred.
- General knowledge of horticulture, botanical nomenclature, and plant curation.
- Comfort interacting with the public; organized, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
- Understanding the basics of photography and videography is preferred.
Wage: $17-20 per hour.
