Details

The Kitchen Aide is responsible for general and heavy‑duty cleaning of kitchen, cafeteria, and coffee shop equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate dish machine for daily ware washing use, including filling, emptying, and replacing soap in dispenser.
  • Set up three‑compartment sink to wash pots.
  • Clean equipment in kitchen and cafeteria, including washing and sanitizing of: pots, pans, ovens, grills, fryers, kettles, steamers, steam tables, fans, walls, hoods, drains, vents, sinks, work tables, refrigerators, doors, utility carts, and food trucks.
  • Have knowledge of and utilize appropriate cleaning chemicals and chemical dispenser.
  • Be proficient in restocking, rotating, dating, and storing stock (FIFO). Organize and maintain racks, shelves, and refrigerators. Assist tray line by replenishing needed beverage items.
  • Properly perform floor maintenance including sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing of floors using a floor machine. Clean mats following proper cleaning procedures.
  • Empty garbage and transport to the compactor. Reliner garbage cans. Bail cardboard boxes. Vacuum cafeteria rugs.
  • Accurately deliver patient meals, following department and hospital policy for patient identification.
  • Assist in the receiving and storing of food and supplies, ensuring that all items are stored according to policy and procedure.
  • Complete any additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience.
  • Skills:

    Must be alert and skilled in appropriately assessing the job to be done and completing it quickly, accurately, and in the correct sequence. Must be able to multitask, be flexible, and work in a stressful environment. Must be able to follow written and verbal directions with basic literacy in English.

One Year Housekeeping or Janitorial Experience, Preferred.

Salary Range

USD $23.79–$29.40 /hr. This range is a good‑faith estimate and the actual pay will depend on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. The reported salary does not include any bonuses, incentives, differential pay, or other forms of compensation that may be applicable, nor does it include the value of benefits.
