The GSUH Customer Services department covers the Main Entrance as well as the Baxter Entrance and provides visitors with way‑finding, patient information, and facility information all in an effort to enhance the patient and visitor experience.
Responsibilities- Provide patient information
- Provide way‑finding
- Provide facility information
- Accompany patients and visitors to their destinations
- Transport patients by wheelchair for discharge
- Screening and contact tracing of all visitors to the facility
- High school diploma, equivalent or relative experience.
- Knowledge of departmental policies/procedures preferred.
- Ability to work independently required.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Willing and able to work in a stressful environment.
- Prior hospital experience preferred; prior experience in dealing with the public preferred.
- Physically able to stand for long periods and assist with transporting patients as needed.
- Basic computer skills.
BLS or CPR/AED training required and accepted from only two organizations:
American Heart Association – BLS for Healthcare Providers.
Starting from USD $24.00/hr.
This range serves as a good faith estimate and the actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
