The Melrose Vet, a privately owned, brand new and modern state-of-the-art small animal hospital located in the vibrant heart of West Hollywood, is seeking a dedicated Associate Veterinarian to join our expanding practice. Our clinic combines advanced technology, an experienced support team, and a culture focused on delivering exceptional patient care.

    Competitive salary range of $150,000–$250,000 + 20–22% production, with compensation negotiable based on workweek schedule (3–5 days) and candidate experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care to small animal patients.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding diagnostics, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with the medical team to ensure a high standard of patient care and clinic efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient medical records using our paperless system.
  • Participate in and contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Stay current on the latest veterinary techniques, treatments, and technologies through continuing education.
  • Support and mentor veterinary support staff and, if applicable, new graduates.

Qualifications

  • DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary school (1+ years of experience).
  • Licensed to practice (or eligible for licensure) in the State of California.
  • Strong diagnostic, surgical, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to practicing progressive, high-quality medicine.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Passion for client education and delivering an exceptional client experience.

About Our Practice

Our facility offers comprehensive medical care for your pets. We provide a wide range of general and advanced services, including wellness exams, vaccinations, dentistry, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, in-house laboratory testing, digital radiography, ultrasound, echocardiography, and laser therapy. While we do not offer a full rehabilitation center, our team is equipped to handle most medical and surgical needs with expertise and compassion.

We are committed to delivering modern, high-quality veterinary care in a welcoming environment.

Appointments are scheduled in 30-minute blocks to support thorough, thoughtful care. We also provide in-hours urgent care services, creating a fast-paced but manageable critical care environment.
