Travel Registered Nurse Wound Care – Near West Hollywood, CA Area

Length of Assignment: 13-Week Contract (Full-Time / Part-Time / Per Diem Shifts Available)

Our Client is a nonprofit, independent healthcare organization committed to improving the health status of the communities we serve through leadership and excellence in delivering quality healthcare services, expanding biomedical research, and educating and training physicians and other healthcare professionals.

• Provide consultation, education and client management expertise for wound, ostomy, and continence care as a WOCN (RN).
• Deliver evidence-based, hands-on care to patients dealing with chronic wounds, ostomy or incontinence issues to improve outcomes and help patients return to normal life.
• Lead a Wound Care Leadership Course for unit-based resource nurses aiding colleagues in assessment, treatment, and prevention of pressure ulcers.

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree;
  Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
• BSN preferred
• Travel experience required
• Experience in a large hospital setting required

Certification & Licensure:

• RN – Registered Nurse of California
• BLS – Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support (NIH)
• California State RN License (valid)
• Certified Wound, Ostomy & Continence RN Board Certification – Wound Care Upon Hire Required
• Certified Wound, Ostomy & Continence RN Board Certification – Ostomy Care Upon Hire Required

Preferred Experience:

• Minimum 1 year recent acute RN experience in specialty, including planning, teaching and directing care
• Two years knowledge and experience in ostomy and wound care preferred
