This Director of Communications & Public Relations role leads global earned communications and strategic storytelling within the luxury beauty space
, shaping brand visibility, cultural relevance, and editorial impact across multiple international markets. The position sits at the intersection of beauty, innovation, artistry, and purpose, partnering closely with cross-functional and regional teams to deliver cohesive, high-impact communications strategies.
Type:
Direct Hire, hybrid, West Hollywood
Pay: $135,000 - $145,000 depending on experience
Interviews:
Total of 3 rounds
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in public relations or brand communications,
ideally within beauty, luxury, fashion, or lifestyle - Proven success developing and executing results-driven earned media and brand storytelling strategies
- Exceptional writing, storytelling, and presentation skills with strong editorial judgment
- Deep knowledge of the global beauty and cultural landscape, including taste makers, artists, and media ecosystems
- Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail and ability to manage complexity
- Confident communicator with experience presenting to senior leadership and cross-functional partners
- Ability to operate in a corporate office environment at least 60% of the time in West Hollywood, CA
- Develop and lead PR strategies supporting brand priorities, core franchises, product innovation, and purpose-led initiatives
- Own the global PR calendar and messaging framework across product, brand, and corporate storytelling
- Translate product positioning into compelling, press-worthy narratives and experiential moments
- Drive media coverage across fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and business outlets
- Lead artist-led moments including red carpets, collaborations, events, and behind-the-scenes access
- Manage day-to-day agency relationships to ensure strategic alignment, quality execution, and timely delivery
- Develop and oversee seeding strategies for media, VIPs, and makeup artists to build long-term advocacy
- Lead 360° PR planning for launches, campaigns, and events across regions
- Oversee creation of global PR assets including press releases, toolkits, mailers, press kits, and event guidelines
- Track, analyze, and report on media performance, campaign impact, and insights
- Partner with leadership on internal communications, employee engagement, and executive thought leadership
- Support messaging for founder and executive participation in panels, press, and corporate initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand, Creative, Retail, Social, and international teams
- Manage annual PR budget, agency scopes, timelines, KPIs, and ROI measurement
