MSP Implementation and Compliance Engineer

Role Overview

Proactive Technology Group is seeking a technical, execution focused engineer to own the internal implementation of controls and security improvements across our managed client base. This role is responsible for translating cybersecurity and compliance requirements into real technical changes in client environments. The position works closely with our internal cybersecurity team and external security partners to ensure controls are implemented correctly, consistently, and sustainably.

• Execute remediation tasks such as application patching, system hardening, access control changes, logging configuration, and endpoint security improvements.
• Perform recurring auditing for users/devices/software and documenting via our ticketing system.
• Assist in preparing environments for audits and assessments by validating technical controls are correctly deployed.
• Client Support and Onsite Response:
  The position will also require traveling onsite to hospitality locations for remediation of Network and IT issues for end user.
• Support after hours or emergency response scenarios when required.

• Strong background in systems administration and network engineering.
• Hands on experience with Windows environments, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and common third party business applications.
• Experience configuring VLANs, firewalls, and network segmentation.
• Comfort implementing security controls rather than only advising on them.
• Ability to follow structured compliance requirements while still solving real world technical problems.
• Clear communication skills and ability to work cross functionally.

• Familiarity with CMMC, NIST 800-171, or similar security frameworks.
• Experience working with MSPs or managed services environments.
• Hospitality or multi-site client environment experience.
• Prior involvement in audit preparation or compliance remediation projects.

• Salary Range: $70,000 ~ $90,000
