Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is seeking a Kitchen Steward for the Montrose at Beverly Hills, in West Hollywood, CA.
OverviewPosition operates a dishwasher to properly clean all dishes and cooking utensils used in the kitchens, restaurants and banquets. Scrubs pots. Restocks all supplies in the assigned areas. Performs general kitchen cleaning duties including cleaning and mopping kitchen floors and trash removal.
Responsibilities- Washes dishes and other cooking utensils. Restocks all clean glasses, silverware and plates.
- Performs general cleaning to stay in compliance with the health department.
- Puts away food stock and dry goods in their proper location, rotating “first in”, “first out.”
- Removes the trash from all containers, taking it to the dumpster located on the loading dock.
- Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
- Perform general/routine cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned to adhere to health standards.
- Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning up unexpected spills or executing special guest requests.

- Good working knowledge of accepted standards of sanitation.
- Knowledge of operating a dishwasher, floor stripper, buffer.
- Ability to read, write and speak English to read labels and communicate with other team members.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.
- Sufficient manual dexterity to load and unload the dishwasher and handle kitchen equipment, knives, slicing blades, etc.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Some work experience in related field preferred. Some hospitality experience preferred.
The individual must be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using other skills and abilities.
