Overview

The Spa Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless daily operations of the spa, delivering a high standard of service, and creating a warm, hygienic, and welcoming environment for guests. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent housekeeping skills, and the ability to multitask effectively. The Spa Attendant will be responsible for assisting with maintaining spa cleanliness and organization, supporting therapists, and ensuring a smooth guest experience from arrival to departure.

We are hiring for a Morning Shift (7:00 am - 3:00 pm) and an Evening Shift (2:00 pm - 10:00 pm).

Key Responsibilities
Spa Operations & Cleanliness - Morning Shift
  • Unlock and open the storefront for operations.
  • Complete morning responsibilities such as laundry organization, hot towel and beverage station preparation, and treatment room setup.
  • Conduct inspections of treatment rooms, lounges, bathrooms, employee lounges, and other amenity areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, proper stock levels, and overall standard setup.
  • Complete the weekly in-depth facilities checklist, ensuring the spa’s facilities are maintained at an excellent standard.
  • Report maintenance, laundry, or cleanliness concerns to the Manager on Duty (MOD) and assist in resolving issues promptly.
  • Maintain spa ambiance by adjusting lighting, music, and aromatherapy as needed.
  • Ensure the spa is stocked with standard inventory by performing inventory counts and ordering.
  • Perform various cleaning services throughout the shift.
  • Maintain floral arrangements, trimming flowers and leaves when necessary.
  • Coordinate specialized maintenance such as steamer descaling for the esthetics team.
  • Complete all checklists and tasks for your respective shifts.
  • Reset relaxation areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization in between guest appointments.
  • Work directly with therapists to assist with efficient room turnovers, ensuring a smooth transition in between guest appointments.
  • Restock supplies, including towels, beverages, and treatment essentials.
  • Log operational updates, complete necessary documentation, and report any outstanding issues.
  • Organize and steam employee uniforms daily.
Guest Experience & Hospitality
  • Warmly greet and welcome guests with genuine hospitality, aligned with the Spencer’s standard brand experience.
  • Orchestrate the ambiance by meticulously managing lighting, signature music, temperature, and aromatherapy.
  • Provide elevated service to every guest, including the hot tea and towel service, and sock and slipper ritual while proactively tailoring the environment to guest preferences.
  • Communicate with Therapists and Hosts to ensure a smooth flow of guest appointments.
  • Ensure guests are collected for their service in a timely manner.
  • Assist with post-treatment guest lounge experience, ensuring each guest feels comfortable and taken care of.
  • Keep and manage iPad throughout the shift to monitor checklists and tasks, including guest arrivals and departures.
  • Maintain seamless communication with the front desk and management to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Follow all policies and procedures including safety and loss prevention.
Spa Operations & Cleanliness - Evening Shift
  • Perform housekeeping duties after hours of operations, including mopping and vacuuming.
  • Secure the property by bringing in outdoor elements, powering down electronics, and ensuring all access points and villas are locked and keys are secured.
  • Close, lock, and arm the storefront.
  • All other duties outlined in the Spa Operations & Cleanliness - Morning Shift.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Prior experience in a luxury hospitality environment is required.
  • Prior housekeeping experience is required.
  • Must be able to communicate with guests and colleagues who only speak English.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented approach to maintaining spa cleanliness, ambiance, and guest experience.
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • This position requires bending, stooping, and moving items up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position, including standing, for up to 2 hours at a time.
  • This position requires the ability to move throughout the space to access supplies and equipment.
  • iPad usage proficiency is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a warm, professional demeanor.
