Controller, Finance & Banking, CFO

Overview

This is a full-time, onsite leadership role reporting directly to the CFO and CEO. The Controller will oversee all accounting operations, ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and international standards, and play a key role in supporting the company’s strategic growth and global expansion.

• Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and emerging international standards
• Manage annual audits with external auditors

• Lead general ledger, AP/AR, fixed assets, billing, and revenue recognition
• Oversee monthly close process
• Implement scalable accounting systems and procedures

• Partner with CEO to provide financial insights for decision-making
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure GAAP compliance
• Lead and mentor a team of 5–6 accountants
• Analyze financial results and deliver actionable recommendations

• Develop international accounting operations
• Manage international tax planning, transfer pricing, and VAT
• Identify and mitigate financial risks
• Safeguard company assets
• Maintain strong internal controls

• Reports to:
  
  CFO and CEO
• Direct Reports: 5–6 staff and senior accountants

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA (active and able to sign off on taxes)
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in leadership
• Experience in oil/gas or petroleum distribution strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of fuel accounting principles
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

$180,000-$225,000 per year
