Part-time Host - Soho Holloway

Overview

The role at Soho House is to be one of the first points of contact for members, guests and staff before being seated for their dining experience. As a Host
, you are responsible for greeting guests, answering all incoming calls, and creating reservations for the Club or F&B Operation(s)/Restaurant(s). The Host has acute organizational and people skills, promotes a positive experience from arrival to departure, and provides excellent service to all guests, members and staff with friendliness, professionalism, and efficiency. A successful Host may train other reception team members on process and service standards and must be able to master our phone system, maintain a warm and friendly disposition, anticipate covers during service, and ensure tables are ready for reservation arrivals.

• Ensure every member and guest is welcomed by name (where local/applicable) and that new guests are greeted hospitably.
• Answer high-volume phone lines and provide standard information regarding menus, hours of operation, amenities, pricing and reservations for restaurant, roof and cinema, as well as general inquiries and messages for members and employees.
• Create reservations for club/restaurants and assist F&B Managers on the floor with service standards and execution.
• Interact with callers and guests with friendliness, accuracy, and discretion.
• Work with the reception team to ensure excellent service for members and maintain open dialogue to manage expectations.
• Build relationships with members and guests and communicate issues and feedback to management as needed.
• Influence a fun and positive atmosphere by being approachable and professional.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Open Table and MICROS experience is required.
• Experience answering high-volume phone lines and providing inquiries professionally and promptly.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to bring resolution to conflicts.
• Detail-oriented, articulate, and able to multi-task in a high-volume environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Flexible schedule and ability to work nights, weekends and holidays (as needed).

• Must be able to grasp and hold objects with hands.
• Must be able to work on your feet for 8–10 hours.
• Fast-paced movements may be required to move around the club.
• Need to understand and communicate clearly with guests, members, and coworkers.
• Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, and related desktop items.
• Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required.

In accordance with California law, the salary range for this role in California is listed below. The range for other geographies may vary by market. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Pay Range: $23—$23 USD
