Overview
We are searching for a Truck Driver to work in our Pet Segment, providing logistics, production, and maintenance support at our Fish Martlocation in West Haven, CT. This position primarily involves loading freight on trucks for deliveries. Primary job duties are driving, delivering, and unloading freight to various locations and businesses. Other duties involving errands, picking up supplies, supporting maintenance and production crews are also typical.

- Loading individual customer orders on trucks in an organized and efficient manner.
- Effectively interpret and understand the paperwork provided to assist in organizing the shipments.
- Unload or deliver the orders intact, confirming box counts, etc. to air cargo or customer location.
- Maintain a pleasant working relationship with our contacts.
- Maintain trucks in clean, operational manner.
- Ability and willingness to work with others.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Comfortable driving trucks as large as a 26’ box truck in urban conditions.
- Maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Obtain a valid driver’s license.
- DOT certification required.
- Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately.
- Responsible, reliable, and dependable work habits.
- Ability to problem solve and detail oriented.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Tuesday through Friday- AM start time (Hours may vary) 40+ Hours Per Week
- End of day varies depending upon shipments & duties anticipated each day. Requires an overnight stay out of state.
- Weekend hours are possible but are not routine.
- Ability to lift packages to 50 lbs. or more.
- This position pays $19.00 per hour depending on experience
