ResponsibilitiesWe have an exciting opportunity for a Production Planning Intern to join our West Hartford, CT team. The internship will provide a college‑level student with practical experience related to their major that will enhance and complement classroom learning. In addition, at the West Hartford facility, the student will gain exposure to all the aspects of the full product life cycle of highly engineered aerospace components.
- Analyze Planning and Supply Chain processes to identify automation and efficiency opportunities.
- Shadow planners/buyers to learn core functions (MRP review, PO placement, Work Order creation).
- Support automation projects from development through testing and implementation.
- Partner with operations leadership to standardize and streamline workflows.
- Review and update Supply Planning Procedures (SPPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) to align with organizational changes.
- Assist in training team members on new or improved processes.
- Gain hands‑on ERP experience (JDE) with transferable system skills.
- Drive measurable improvements in efficiency, standardization, and process consistency.
- Pursuing a Bachelors’ Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality Management or related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or greater
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels in the organization
- Candidates must be a US citizen or a US Permanent Resident
