Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity for an Mechanical Engineer Intern to join our West Hartford, CT team. The internship will provide a college‑level student with practical experience related to their major that will enhance and complement classroom learning. In addition, at the West Hartford facility, the student will gain exposure to all the aspects of the full product life cycle of highly engineered aerospace components.

  • Photograph and document incoming hardware, including detailed component images and exploded assembly views.
  • Collect and document hardware inspection data for build kits in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
  • Document nonconformances in the NCR system and support disposition and corrective action activities.
  • Assist in creating build instructions and compiling inspection data packages.
  • Support prototype assembly activities while ensuring compliance with aerospace quality standards.
  • Assist with test setup and design assurance testing for hydromechanical assemblies.
  • Monitor testing, collect performance data, and ensure accurate documentation of results.
  • Compile, analyze, and interpret engineering test data.
  • Produce test summaries and contribute to formal test report documentation.
  • Apply engineering analysis methods including statistical analysis, FFT, and performance trending.
  • Develop proficiency in engineering drawings, blueprint reading, and GD&T interpretation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams to support NPI program milestones.
Qualifications
  • Pursuing a Bachelors' Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or greater
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels in the organization
  • Candidates must be a US citizen or a US Permanent Resident
