Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Manufacturing Operations Intern to join our West Hartford, CT team. The internship will provide a college‑level student with practical experience related to their major that will enhance and complement classroom learning. In addition, at the West Hartford facility, the student will gain exposure to all the aspects of the full product life cycle of highly engineered aerospace components.

  • Execute assigned action items from Continuous Improvement (CI) events to implement sustainable corrective solutions.
  • Analyze retest drivers using root‑cause principles (Process, Design, Material, Environment, Compliance/Testing).
  • Support cost reduction efforts by lowering Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and minimizing repeat retests.
  • Improve production capacity through first‑pass yield improvements.
  • Design and implement Point‑of‑Use (POU) tooling enhancements using in‑house 3D printing.
  • Create and optimize tool storage and workstation layouts to improve ergonomics and cycle time.
  • Utilize CAD software to design custom fixtures and manufacturing aids.
Qualifications
  • Pursuing a Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering or related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or greater.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels in the organization.
  • Candidates must be a US citizen or a US Permanent Resident.
