The Bond Ballroom, located in downtown Hartford, CT, is a historic venue originally established in 1921 as The Hotel Bond. Overlooking the cityscape, Memorial Arch, and the Capitol, this beautifully restored ballroom blends timeless elegance with convenient access. Known for hosting various events, the Bond Ballroom is a premier destination for weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings. Our dedicated team takes pride in creating memorable experiences for all guests through outstanding service and stunning aesthetics.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site internship role located in West Hartford, CT. The Intern will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Bond Ballroom, including event coordination, administrative tasks, and customer service. Key responsibilities include assisting with event planning and execution, liaising with vendors and guests, maintaining event schedules, and ensuring operational excellence to deliver seamless event experiences. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on professional experience in hospitality and event management.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and team members
  • Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented mindset with skills in administrative support, scheduling, and event planning
  • Problem-solving and adaptability in resolving event-related challenges quickly and efficiently
  • Proficiency in basic office software tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • A passion for event planning, hospitality, and creating unique guest experiences
  • Previous experience in event coordination or hospitality is a plus
  • Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive approach to supporting the team
