Senior Accountant – Real Estate (Strongly Preferred)

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a detail‑oriented finance professional with strong analytical abilities and a solid understanding of accounting principles. Experience in the Real Estate industry is strongly preferred, particularly in areas such as property accounting, development projects, lease accounting, or real‑estate‑focused financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and consolidated reporting packages
• Oversee general ledger activity, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow reporting
• Review vendor invoices, tenant billing, CAM reconciliations, and lease schedules (if applicable)
• Partner with property managers, development teams, and operations to ensure accurate financial data
• Assist with audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements
• Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience;
  Real Estate industry experience strongly preferred
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with property management systems (Yardi, MRI, Real Page, etc.) is a plus
• Advanced Excel skills and strong financial analysis capabilities
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
• CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus
