Lead, Accounting, Tax Accountant

As a Seasonal People Lead
, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and mentorship to 1st year tax pros. You will be facilitating and leading training for all first‑year tax pros in your market, assigning additional trainings as needed, validating the accuracy of Tax Preparation of your cohort, reviewing operational deliverables (i.e., Amex, WFG, NPS), assisting with holds, overrides, voids and discounts, and providing support via Teams, Log Me In  and in‑person mentorship (as applicable).

• Conduct screenings with prospective tax pros.
• Generate business growth, increase first‑year tax pro retention, and offer support to those within your cohort.
• Proficient in the use of modern technology.
• Answer tax pro calls via Teams or phone.
• Answer tax‑related questions and provide guidance to tax pros in a timely fashion.
• Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration.
• Mentor and support teammates, provide guidance and in some cases act as the lead.
• This position has access to and regularly works with information of a sensitive, highly confidential nature requiring a working knowledge of the business.

• 2+ seasons of Jackson Hewitt previous tax experience.
• Experience completing individual tax returns.
• Passion for providing extraordinary customer service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Successful completion of the Jackson Hewitt Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent license is a bonus.

Compensation: $18.00 – $21.50 per hour
