ANNUAL SALARY
$51,269 - $56,153. Additional salary growth available through regular increases within the classification up to $70,806.
JOB DUTIESOperate motor grader to maintain gravel roads all year long. Plow snow using motor graders and occasionally a tandem axle truck. Responsible for day‑to‑day inspection and repair of equipment as well as aiding mechanics in preparing motor graders for plowing snow. Make building repairs to outlying shops and oversee maintenance graveling by contractors and county staff. Occasional mowing of ditches with mower and tractor.
This person oversees their own blade route and how to manage their time depending on road conditions. They may receive additional instructions from Highway Superintendent as road conditions may change daily. This position requires reporting to work after hours, on weekends, and on holidays during emergency events. This job requires prolonged standing, lifting up to 70 pounds, frequent bending, stooping, and stretching.
This position will be based in Argusville, ND.
- 3 years experience in operating heavy equipment.
- Ability to take orders and resolve any problems.
- Knowledge of construction equipment and the materials used.
- Heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Class B license with ability to obtain Class
A.
Four 10‑hour day weeks from spring to fall, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, paid time off, uniforms and clothing allowance.
