True North Steel is looking for a Material Handler to assist in the general handling, movement, and loading of steel in the Coating Department at our West Fargo site.

SHIFT: 6:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 11:30 am Friday (OT as needed)

PAY RATE: $23.46 - $25.00+ per hour (DOE) + Full Benefits Package

LOCATION: West Fargo, ND

True North Steel is looking for a Material Handler to assist in the general handling of materials where applicable, using overhead cranes, forklifts, telehandlers, and other similar equipment. The handling of material may be associated with various areas, including unloading inbound material, loading outbound material, or moving and distributing material to various operation areas for fabrication.

• Operate applicable equipment to unload, load and distribute material with minimal supervision.
• Handle materials using overhead cranes, forklifts, telehandlers, and other equipment.
• Unload inbound material, load outbound material, and move materials to fabrication areas as needed.
• Follow all company safety and quality requirements.
• Communicate with team members verbally and non-verbally.
• Maintain prompt and dependable attendance; willing to work flexible hours and overtime or weekends as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Material identification
• Strong organizational skills
• Basic computer skills

• Read and follow oral and written directions
• Ability to read a tape measure (imperial and metric)
• Ability to work with others

• Forklift and/or overhead crane experience preferred
• High School Diploma or GED Required
