Practice Overview
Metro Anesthesia and Pain Management currently provides anesthesia services at two centers in the West Des Moines area.

• Surgery Center West (SCA): ENT, OB, orthopedic, podiatry, and eye procedures

• Wolfe Surgery Center:
High volume ophthalmology including cataract and retina cases
CRNA Practice Environment

• Full autonomy with strong physician support

• CRNAs perform blocks for a variety of procedures

• Team oriented environment with efficient room turnover

• Physicians and CRNAs may rotate for Wellmark cases with a higher physician fee schedule

We partner with leading ophthalmology groups, so candidates must be comfortable performing a high volume and wide variety of ophthalmology cases.
Practice Highlights

• Two outpatient surgery centers located approximately one block apart from each other
• Surgery center hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Most operating rooms are completed by 1:00 to 2:00 pm each day, with one or two rooms occasionally running later in the afternoon
• Independent CRNA practice with cases billed solely under the CRNA
• Supportive anesthesiologists available for consultation as needed
• Opportunity to utilize ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia skills
• Limited late-afternoon coverage only, with no weekend call
• The CRNA covering later cases is responsible for making next-day room assignments

Metro Anesthesia Salary and Benefit Package
Base Salary: $245,000 annually

• Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 for a two-year commitment or $5,000 for a one-year commitment

• Vacation: 8 weeks (prorated for the first year)

• CME: $3,000 annually (prorated for the first year)

• Retirement: 401(k) and Profit Sharing Plan
4 percent Safe Harbor match
Up to 6 percent profit sharing based on fiscal year performance

• Health Insurance: 13 Wellmark plan options
$650 per month toward individual plans
$1,200 per month toward family plans
50 percent contribution toward any dental or vision plan offered

Malpractice fully covered
Long term disability fully covered
Short term disability fully covered (70 percent of base salary)
