Overview

Healthcare position at The Iowa Clinic in West Des Moines, IA. The clinic is locally owned and led by physicians in Central Iowa. This role is part of the TIC team and focuses on compassionate, collaborative care in a clinic setting with standard daytime hours.

• Deliver professional nursing services for patients of assigned physician(s) following established nursing practice standards and medical office procedures;
  Monday-Friday, standard clinic hours in West Des Moines with coverage as needed in Ankeny.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient care needs.
• Room patients and take vitals.
• Assist providers with patient triage, identify nursing diagnoses or problem lists, and formulate an initial plan of care based on assessment data.
• Spend time with patients to listen to and get to know them.
• Return patient calls and ensure all patients feel valued and cared for.
• Participate in department activities and team-building opportunities as appropriate.
• Stay within standard clinic hours with morning and early afternoon shifts; hours may include Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM and Friday 7:45 AM – 4:15 PM.

• Knowledge of nursing techniques, procedures, medical diagnoses and treatments.
• Exceptional patient interaction skills and the ability to prepare and maintain records.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and the ability to assist providers in a professional manner.

• Iowa RN License required.
