DescriptionAs an Ortho Tech at DMOS working in West Des Moines, you'll help our patients get back to living by taking an important step in their care by gathering basic information to efficiently support the Physician during a patient's appointment. Every day you will work alongside our Physicians and fellow clinical team members to create a comfortable patient experience, ensuring everyone gets seen in a timely fashion.
To thrive in this role, you have a passion for patient care and orthopaedic field. This is a Monday - Friday full-time (40-hrs) opportunity, with a 1 Saturday (8AM-12PM) coverage every 6-8 weeks.
- You ll be on your feet most of the day greeting and preparing patients for their Orthopaedic appointment. You are the patient s kind guide and reliable helper during their appointment assisting with casting, cast removal and wound care.
- Reaching, stooping, and walking while assisting patients with their care during appointments
- A small, close-knit team of professionals you can rely on who work closely with our doctors to provide patient care we are proud of.
- Communication. You know how to communicate clearly and professionally. You know how important it is to listen, ask questions, and avoid interrupting.
- Calm. Ability to provide reassurance when patients are nervous.
- Independent worker. You know how to keep yourself focused and when to ask for help.
