Edencrest is hiring for a RN, Registered Nurse

In this role, you will provide leadership and nursing support to the community and Executive Director. This person is a key member of the community’s leadership team, adhering to policies and procedures, and upholding the community’s mission, philosophy, values, and the company’s vision, principles, and hospitality promises.

Current Opening:
Monday-Friday, rotating weekends, and on-call rotation

Competitive Pay:
The starting pay for this position is $80,000/year. Pay rate will be based on years of experience.

Daily responsibilities of an RN include:

• Supporting the Director of Wellness with daily tasks and resident care documentation
• Administering medications and treatments per physician orders and Iowa licensure scope
• Monitoring and ensuring compliance through PCC Dashboard
• Assisting with resident assessments and reviews
• Providing on-call nursing support as needed
• Training, guiding, and delegating nursing tasks to direct care staff
• Utilizing medical equipment appropriately (e.g., catheters, oxygen)
• Collecting and transporting lab samples
• Leading or assisting with staff in-services and clinical education sessions
• Communicating effectively with families and physicians
• Monitoring vital signs and detecting health changes
• Promoting a safe, comfortable environment for residents
• Supporting residents with activities of daily living
• Embodies strong customer service and team collaboration
• Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications required:

• Valid Iowa RN license
• Current CPR certification
• Completion of annual Iowa state requirements
• Professional, compassionate, and team-oriented attitude
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and manage emotional situations with care
• Interest in elder care and strong interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
