Weekend Maintenance Assistant

*** this is NOT a subcontract position at this time*****

The primary purpose of this position is to implement all required maintenance procedures in an efficient and cost-effective manner, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining a safe and secure environment for our residents.

• Perform repairs as directed
• Collect and dispose of refuse
• Clean, strip, wax, and buff floors
• Assure prompt snow and ice removal
• Help to assure the maintenance of the physical plant is in proper order
• Assist in the care of the center's physical plant and grounds
• Maintains facility by repairing walls, baseboards, doors, ceilings, mirrors, windows, removing trash,
• Moves furniture in order to complete assignments
• Coordinates daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living areas.
• Assist in terminal cleaning of resident room upon transfer, discharge, or death.
• Follows maintenance schedule/instruction

• Valid driver’s license in current State with satisfactory driving record
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Requires the ability to be available for “on-call” emergency repairs
• Requires knowledge of building maintenance to include minor electrical repair
• Pluming and routine preventative care of heating and air conditioning systems
