OverviewThe Construction Manager I will assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. The Construction Manager I will work closely with project teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This position is ideal for individuals with strong Experience in PEMB / Mass Timber.
Responsibilities- Project Planning and Coordination:
Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with project management and engineering teams. - Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to project sites.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Construction Execution and Supervision:
Supervise and coordinate construction activities on-site, including subcontractor work, material deliveries, and equipment installations. - Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices throughout the construction process.
- Monitor work progress and productivity to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
- Quality Assurance and Control:
Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to verify workmanship, materials, and finished products meet project requirements and specifications. - Implement corrective actions to address quality issues and deviations from standards and ensure timely resolution of any deficiencies.
- Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily progress reports, inspection records, and change orders. - Prepare and distribute reports to project management and stakeholders to provide updates on project status, milestones, and issues.
- Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as a primary point of contact for subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors regarding construction activities, schedules, and requirements. - Communicate effectively with project management and other stakeholders to address project issues, concerns, and changes in a timely manner.
