Job Title: Independent Risk Officer
Location: Des Moines, IA (Hybrid 3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
Duration: 12+ months
Employment type: Fulltime/Contract

We’re seeking an experienced Independent Risk Officer to join our client’s team for supporting large-scale risk management initiatives. In this role, you’ll consult on complex, high-impact projects across Credit Risk Independent Testing and Operational Risk, providing strategic insights and ensuring adherence to enterprise-wide risk management standards.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and consult on complex, multi-dimensional initiatives within Independent Risk Management.
  • Analyze and assess large-scale or long-term risk challenges, evaluating multiple factors including intangible and unprecedented considerations.
  • Develop and implement solutions that align with policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to meet business objectives.
  • Collaborate strategically with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to strengthen the organization’s risk posture.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of risk frameworks and testing strategies across the enterprise.
Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of Operational Risk Management, Risk & Controls Self-Assessment (RCSA), and Independent Risk Testing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Pay Range And Benefits
  • Pay Range*:
    Between $60-65 per hour.
  • Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
