The Unit Clerk provides essential administrative and clerical support to ensure smooth operations within a healthcare unit. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment. The Unit Clerk serves as a central point of contact for staff, patients, families, and other departments, assisting with administrative functions, patient flow, and assisting with unit activities.

ResponsibilitiesPerforms clerical duties on the nursing unit and assists in coordinating the efforts of the health team members by receiving and disseminating information. Acts as a receptionist in patient‑care areas.
Qualifications- Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
- Experience: Must be familiar with word processing software and basic computer skills. Previous healthcare experience preferred. One year experience in business or secretarial environment preferred.
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English. Multicultural sensitivity. Microsoft Office – basic computer skills. Customer/patient focused.
