We are seeking an experienced Associate Immigration Attorney to join a mission-driven law firm focused on keeping families together and advocating for vulnerable individuals. This role involves representing detained clients, appearing in Immigration Court (EOIR), handling USCIS matters, and SIJS-related family/probate hearings.
Key Responsibilities- Represent detained clients in removal and bond proceedings
- Appear before EOIR for asylum, cancellation of removal, and other relief
- Prepare motions, briefs, appeals, and court filings
- Represent clients in USCIS interviews and petitions
- Handle SIJS matters in CA Family & Probate Courts
- Conduct legal research and manage case strategy
- Communicate regularly with clients and supervise support staff
- JD from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice (CA Bar preferred)
- 1-3+ years immigration law experience preferred
- Strong litigation, research, and writing skills
- Willingness to work with detained clients and travel to courts
- Spanish fluency preferred (not required)
