Overview
HR Assistant
The HR Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department, assisting with recruiting, employee relations, onboarding, recordkeeping, and HR programs. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and bilingual fluency in English and Spanish. The position is onsite, working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Serve as a first point of contact for employee HR questions and concerns; document and escalate issues as needed
- Support recruiting and onboarding, including job postings, interview scheduling, and new-hire preparation
- Maintain accurate employee records, files, and HR data across systems
- Provide written and verbal translation support (English/Spanish)
- Assist with payroll preparation, reports, presentations, and HR events
- Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and PowerPoint presentations
- Perform additional HR projects and administrative duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent (some college or HR coursework preferred)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- 1–3 years of HR or administrative experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong communication, organization, and confidentiality skills
- Ability to work onsite daily
- Experience with recruiting, onboarding, payroll, or HRIS systems
- Attention to detail
