As a Security Officer - Logistics Access Monitor in West Columbia, SC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment within a dynamic logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities include monitoring access points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to help deter security‑related incidents.

• Assist with access control procedures by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points at the logistics and distribution location.
• Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and offering directions to authorized personnel and visitors.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following site‑specific policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security‑related concerns.
• Document and report any suspicious activity, security‑related incidents, or policy violations to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or site management.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations and coordinating with first responders.
• Maintain a visible presence to help deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment for employees, visitors, and property.

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
