As a Security Officer – Media Site Entry in West Columbia, SC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and controlling entry points at a dynamic technology location. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, remain visible to support a secure environment, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Monitor and control access points at the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or irregularities according to company and client procedures.
• Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to communicate relevant information and address security-related concerns.
• Operate and monitor security-related equipment such as access control systems, CCTV, and communication devices as required for the post profile.

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
