Role Summary
Specialty Sales Territory Business Manager (TBM) for the Coastal Carolina region. Responsible for maximizing Mann Kind product sales within the geographic territory and driving sales growth, with ownership and accountability for territory performance.
Responsibilities- Achieve identified territory sales goals while adhering to all Mann Kind compliance policies and FDA-label-consistent messaging.
- Deliver effective sales presentations to targeted customers.
- Build and maintain customer relationships; maintain in-depth knowledge of disease states, products, competition, and the territory.
- Maintain budgets and timelines for the territory; align growth to business unit strategy.
- Solve customer challenges by translating clinical data into patient-specific product attributes.
- Demonstrate total account management, develop relationships, and create value by addressing gaps in current treatment plans.
- Use approved materials, programs, and resources to reduce practice pathway friction.
- Stay current with clinical data, industry changes, and medical data; communicate in a compliant manner to healthcare professionals.
- Monitor sales activity using reports and analyses; identify territory growth opportunities based on data, stakeholders, and payer landscape.
- Plan and route calls based on data and customer insights; execute data-based pre- and post-call planning.
- Communicate effectively with customers, peers, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Type 1 & 2 diabetes, nephrology treatment landscape, and guidelines.
- Drive appropriate utilization of approved products with HF specialists, cardiology, nephrology, emergency medicine, advanced practitioners, HF clinic staff, and other health care professionals in assigned accounts.
- Develop relationships with internal Product Marketing/Management to provide voice-of-customer and market observations for portfolio strategies.
- Translate clinical data into patient-specific product attributes; maintain professional knowledge through training and networking.
- Complete tasks on time with quality, staying organized and compliant.
- Learn, analyze, and convey technically complex information; comply with all laws, regulations, policies, privacy, and data guidelines.
- Participate in teleconferences, district meetings, external engagements, and training; represent the company at events as requested.
- Observe all safety, health, and environmental guidelines; use marketing and sales tools to contribute to the sales process.
- Overnight travel may be required based on territory/geography.
- Required: Bachelors Degree and 3 years of sales experience OR Associates Degree and 6 years of sales experience OR high school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience.
- Required: Valid driver3s license and safe driving record.
- Required: Must live within territory boundaries.
- Preferred: Minimum 3 years of experience selling in a complex and competitive environment.
- Preferred: Prior sales and/or pharmaceutical sales experience within Endocrinology and/or Nephrology.
- Preferred: Pre-existing Endocrinology and/or Nephrology relationships ( 3 years) in the territory.
- Preferred: Strong knowledge of Type 1 & 2 diabetes and nephrology treatment landscape and guidelines.
- Preferred: Experience with product launches;
Medicare population experience is a plus. - Preferred: Experience with HUBs and specialty pharmacies;
Medicare coverage determination or extensive prior authorization experience. - Preferred: Knowledge of medical, healthcare, or pharmaceutical industry; ability to understand healthcare regulations.
- Preferred: Strong sales cycle knowledge; ability to deliver clear, concise selling messages.
- Preferred: Clinical selling skills; ability to leverage clinical data to drive patient outcomes compliantly.
- Preferred: Proven track record of sales growth in competitive environments; self-motivated with high accountability.
- Preferred: Excellent planning, judgment, decision-making, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university (or equivalent) or higher.
- Relevant certifications as applicable to sales roles in healthcare/pharma domains.
- Overnight travel may be required based on territory/geography.
