OverviewThe Associate is responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations, acquiring and maintaining knowledge of the products represented, preparing, serving, and breaking down products, equipment, and supplies, and intercepting consumers to demonstrate products in a professional manner. Consistent appearance and professional professionalism are key.
Responsibilities- Gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
- Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell products to the consumer in a positive manner.
- Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
- Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
- Maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
- Set up and prepare event tables for execution.
- Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
- Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
- Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
- Complete expense reports per company policy.
- Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
- Access the Internet and navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents, including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.
This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week; however, the company reserves discretion to change the role based on business needs.
Qualifications- Education/
Experience:
High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Computer
Skills:
Proficient use of a personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems. - Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food handler permit may be required.
- Physical Demands: Frequently stand, walk, use hands and fingers, lift up to 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs), push and pull a fully loaded demonstration cart, handle appliances, and clear cleaning supplies.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
- Work Environment: Retail store environment; limited travel.
- Physical Appearance: Professional appearance and proper grooming required; specific Retailer dress code in training documents.
- Language
Skills:
English primary; bilingual may be required by business necessity.
