To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Operations Supervisor located in Columbia, SC
. Reporting to the Test Engineering Manager
, the Operations Supervisor will be responsible for effectively managing all strategic operational processes and resources and managing an organization in order to achieve and maintain operational excellence.
Night Shift: Mon-Fri 11:00 pm to 7:00 am
Responsibilities- Supervises production staff on work method and quality checkpoints.
- Coordinates efforts of operations team by establishing procurement, production and engineering services policies and practices.
- Ensures ISO and safety standards are adhered.
- Leverages industry practices and applies to internal systems and processes.
- Provides supervision and direction to subordinate staff and coordinates workflow within major work unit, including distributing work, disseminating information, assigning staff to cover for absences, providing technical assistance, answering questions, and resolving problems within the work unit supervised.
- Supervises the development and implementation of training programs within the work unit supervised.
- Serves as a liaison between the work unit and other offices and outside agencies for the distribution and collection of information and to resolve operational issues.
- Develops and implements new procedures and responds to changes in statutes and administrative policies.
- Trains staff in the use of automated systems and word processing software, introduces new versions or functions, troubleshoots problems, and attends meetings.
- Assists in the preparation of the budget for the work unit.
- Reviews work performance, motivates subordinates to work more effectively, identifies problems with performance and solutions, defines training needs to improve performance.
- Participates in the hiring and promotion of staff within the work unit supervised, including serving on a panel to interview applicants and making recommendations to superiors.
- Prepares and/or processes personnel actions such as promotions, appointments, transfers, leaves of absences.
- Supervises the maintenance of personnel records and time sheets for staff supervised.
- Coordinates time off requests to ensure adequate coverage.
- Associates Degree in a related field.
- 6 years of operations experience.
- 3–5 years of leadership experience.
- Understanding of the manufacturing process experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to adjust working hours occasionally due to increased production demand.
