Overview
This position oversees the configuration, maintenance, security, and optimization of academic operations and retention systems. Serving as a key liaison between Academic Affairs and Information Resource Management partners, ensures academic technology platforms operate efficiently, accurately, and securely. Responsibilities include system administration, process improvement, user support and training, reporting, and supervision of assigned staff. The position collaborates closely with academic leadership to align system functionality with institutional needs while supporting continuous improvement and effective use of academic technologies.
LocationThis position is located on the Midlands Technical College Airport Campus.
Education and ExperienceA high school diploma and experience in computer system development and modification. A bachelors degree in a related field may be substituted for the required work experience.
Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will have proven experience in system administration, particularly with academic operations technology systems and platforms in a higher education setting. They should possess strong technical skills and familiarity with academic processes.
Responsibilities- Knowledge of software system analysis, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance techniques and practices.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with users, vendors, and staff.
- Familiarity with Colleague, Retention Software, Coursedog, and Dynamic Forms.
- Ability to effectively recognize and resolve complex technical problems.
- Demonstrated ability to create clear, accurate, and user-friendly technical documentation and training materials for end users.
