Senior Power BI Developer – Technix LLC

Duration: 12 months with possible extension

Location: Cayce, SC (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)

Special Requirement: Candidate must be a South Carolina resident or willing to relocate to SC prior to starting the role at their own expense.

As part of the agency's data visualization systems team, this contractor role involves analysis, design, coding, testing, documentation, implementation, modification, and upgrade of agency computer systems supporting health services, including integration and monitoring of supporting backend system processes and solutions. The focus is on supporting public health infrastructure initiatives.

This position will support agency-wide Power BI initiatives by mentoring junior developers and developing advanced data visualization products. The contractor will begin immediately to develop an intangible asset tracking dashboard for a group of program area directors, create data models, build KPIs and charts, and deliver monthly snapshots of architecture and workflow diagrams, backend schemas, and other operational dashboard enhancements for agency leadership.

• Work in a team environment to implement, maintain, and provide technical support for specific applications (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Provide technical backup for other applications as assigned.

Ensure systems integrate seamlessly with the agency electronic document management system (EDM) and geographic information systems (GIS). Adhere to IT application development standards.
• Communicate and collaborate with data analysts, systems integration, and program areas to ensure appropriate visualization of data.
• Develop and oversee dynamic dashboard reporting and underlying data connections for selected health information systems and programs.
• Prepare and maintain system documentation for supported applications and provide appropriate administrative project communication.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• 3+ years of experience with technical documentation
• 1+ year of experience with Project Management
• 1+ year of experience with Data Modelling

• Experience with SQL

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of work or equivalent work experience.
