Position overview:

We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech and language therapy services to PreK-12 students, helping them develop communication skills and overcome speech and language disorders.

Position Details:

  • Start Date: ASAP for the 25/26 school year
  • Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)
  • Grade Levels: PK-12th grade caseloads available
  • Campuses: May cover 2 campuses
  • Certifications: ASHA CCCs required; CFY candidates not accepted
  • Licenses: Must hold SC SLP license and educator certificate
  • Compensation: Starting at $43/hour (commensurate with experience)
  • Location: 100% On-Site

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech, language, and communication abilities
  • Develop individualized therapy plans and goals based on assessment results and students' needs
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, targeting articulation, phonology, language comprehension, fluency, and pragmatic skills
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' communication goals in the classroom and other educational settings
  • Incorporate evidence-based techniques and therapeutic activities into sessions to promote speech and language development
  • Monitor progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to facilitate optimal outcomes
  • Document therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant information accurately and in a timely manner
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide input regarding students' speech and language needs
Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
  • Current ASHA certification required
  • Experience providing SLP services in a school or pediatric setting
  • Proficiency in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques used in pediatric SLP
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate with students, parents, and school staff
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of AAC systems and other assistive technology (preferred)
