Overview
Provides instruction to students enrolled in Corporate and Continuing Education welding classes. Must have a broad knowledge of the welding industry and welding techniques in Stick, MIG, Flux Cored, and TIG welding.
Responsibilities- Maintain excellent classroom management and ensure facilities are ready for class activities.
- Teach classroom activities, evaluate and report students’ progress.
- Assign and assist students on class projects; create and deliver lectures and demonstrations.
- Submit grades and student performance in a timely manner to the Program Director.
- Associate’s degree in Welding or related skilled trade field and three (3) years of experience, or five (5) years of welding industry experience including training or mentoring new employees. The candidate must have extensive on-the-job experience, knowledge and training along with the ability to convey that knowledge to others.
- Bachelor's degree in Education with formal training in welding and three (3) years of teaching in the classroom or in industry.
